Craps Basics: Pass/Don't Pass Bets

'Don't Pass' Bets

Placing a Pass Line bet is betting with the dice, and placing a Don't Pass bet is betting against the dice. Pass Line bets are also said to be 'betting right,' while Don't Pass bets are said to be 'betting wrong.' (Not that either is any better or worse a bet than the other -- this is just craps jargon.) Field Bets

These bets are only for just one dice roll. And if a 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, 12 is thrown, then you have won. 5, 6, 7 and 8 will make you lose your bet. Field Bets have such payouts: 2 paysdouble (2:1) and 12 pays 3:1. Other winning dice rolls are paid even (1:1).

Odds Bet
